Long a symbol of peace, the olives are marvellous fruit original from the Mediterranean countries, particularly from Portugal. This ancient fruit is a healthy source of natural antioxidants and has a composition similar to olive oil. Because of the unique flavour and fine texture of the olives it has become a delicate hors d'oeuvre.

The olives go well with any menu, perfect to serve on any occasion and enjoyed by all. Tradifoods has selected a surprising variety of olives with complex tastes and textures from the north to the south of Portugal; in particular the variety Galega, which is an exclusive olive from Portugal. All our olives are hand harvest and each conservation process has an ancient story behind it.

Negrinha do Freixo DOP

characteristic of the NE of Portugal, excellent for canning. Spherical olive green when ripe. When stuffed with red pepper or almond creates a blend of flavours.

Galega

Most important and traditional Portuguese olive. Small, round, brownish blak toned olive with a pointed shape and distinctively flavoured pulp.

Cobrançosa

Very typical green flavour. Slightly spicy and bitter.

Conserva d’Elvas

The region of Elvas and Campo Maior, the southern region of Portugal, has soil and climatic characteristics very own, allowing the production of olives with unique characteristics. The varieties used are Azeiteira, Carrasqueira, Redondil and Conserva, with artisanal preparation following local recipes.

Portuguese Mix

Artisanal preparation with ancient recipes, with a blend of 3 different Portuguese varieties – Galega, Cobrançosas and Azeiteira, with 5 different calibers.
